Saipem Scoops $500+ Mln EPCI Contracts

Phase 1 developments. The scope of work includes the EPCI of risers, production flowlines, jumpers and the installation of a subsea production system (SPS) in water depths ranging between 400 and 600 meters to be carried out by Saipem vessels FDS and Saipem 3000.In the same region, specifically in Equatorial Guinea, Saipem has also signed a contract with Noble Energy for the offshore installation of a 70-kilometer gas pipeline connecting the Alen Platform to Punta Europa on the coast.Additional minor contracts awarded are related to the decommissioning of existing infrastructures located in the Thistle

Saipem Wins $100 Mln Pipeline Contract

Equatorial Guinea has awarded a $90-$100 million contract to build a 70 km subsea pipeline linking the Noble Energy operated Alen Unit to the country's Punta Europa petrochemical hub to Italian firm Saipem , the oil ministry said on Thursday.The first gas is expected to be delivered from the project early in 2021, said oil minister Gabriel Obiang Lima in a statement.(Reporting by Wendell Roelf; Editing by Muralikumar Anantharaman)

GOSL Picks Up Nexus USBL Positioning Systems

Equatorial Guinea Blames Schlumberger for Quitting LNG project

Equatorial Guinea's energy minister on Monday said U.S. company Schlumberger walked away from talks with Ophir over the development of the Fortuna LNG project because it wanted to "monopolize everything."   But Gabriel Obiang Lima said he was confident the project would go ahead and be successful, with Equatorial Guinea taking an equity stake via its state-owned companies. Fugro to Survey off Equatorial Guinea

Fugro has been awarded a contract by Ophir Equatorial Guinea (Block R) Limited for the provision of survey services for the development of large scale assets and infrastructure offshore Equatorial Guinea.   Under the contract Fugro will deploy three of its specialist vessels - Fugro Searcher, Fugro Scout and Fugro Frontier – to perform autonomous underwater vehicle (AUV) surveys as well as geotechnical, environmental and metocean surveys.   The survey program will take place at the Fortuna Project to the west of Bioko Island, where Ophir is planning a large FLNG installation and

Offshore Mooring Replacement Completed

InterMoor Inc., an Acteon company and part of its foundations and moorings business, finished replacing critical components in an FPU mooring system offshore Equatorial Guinea on schedule, enabling the prime contractor, Boskalis, to expand the InterMoor work scope.   The original contract covered replacing old mooring chains and wire ropes for eight of the 12 mooring lines along with two drag anchors on Mobil Equatorial Guinea Inc.’s (MEGI’s) Zafiro Producer floating production unit.
