Ashtead Names Lestrange UK Regional Director
to the role more than 25 years’ experience in the subsea industry, Lestrange joins Ashtead from HCS Control Systems where he held the position of chief executive officer. Prior to this, he was a founding partner of Frontrow Energy Partners and held a number of senior and technical positions at Expro Group, including head of subsea. Originally from Sydney, Australia, Lestrange began his career in the oil and gas industry in 1992, when he joined Woodside Offshore Petroleum as a graduate engineer.
Subsea Awards Finalists Announced
Expo. Around 5,000 delegates from across the globe are expected to attend Europe’s leading annual conference and exhibition, held at Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre with over 850 booked for the dinner. Nominees in the Global Exports Award category are Subsea Innovation, ROVOP and Expro Group. Vying for the New Enterprise award are SETS, Ocean Installer and ROVOP. The shortlist for Innovation and Technology comprises Technip, Subsea 7 and Viper Subsea. Expro Awarded Subsea Services Contract in China
International oilfield service company, Expro, has been awarded a $4.5 (£2.9) million one year contract for the supply of 7 3/8” completion landing string services in China. Work will commence this month, and as part of the contract, Expro will supply a 7 3/8” 10k direct hydraulic (DH) completion landing string system and a set of topside and DH controls. This will be the latest DH operation in China following previous successful campaigns on other horizontal tree developments.
