MacGregor Cranes for First Subsea Mining vessel

  MacGregor, part of Cargotec, has been awarded a contract by Fujian Mawei Shipbuilding Limited for two subsea knuckle boom cranes to be installed on the world's first seabed mining vessel.  Delivery of the cranes is scheduled for Q1/2017. The order was booked into first quarter 2015 order intake.   The 227m production support vessel has a beam of 40m. It has been designed by Singapore's SeaTech Solutions for Dubai-based owner Marine Assets Corporation (MAC). Two MacGregor Subsea Cranes Ordered for Chinese PSVs

MacGregor, part of Cargotec, has secured a new contract from Chinese shipbuilder, Fujian Mawei Shipbuilding Ltd., for two 100-metric-ton active heave-compensated subsea MacGregor cranes. The cranes will be fitted to two 86-meter multipurpose platform supply vessels (PSVs) under construction at the yard. Delivery of the cranes is scheduled for the end of September and October 2015. "A key quality of PSVs is that they are able to perform a wide variety of tasks effectively in demanding offshore environments. CSS Olympia Delivered to GranEnergia

GranEnergia took delivery of the Compact Semi-Submersible (CSS) Olympia from MAC Offshore. STX Marine (STXM) and CSS Designs Ltd. developed the CSS design over the past five years. Built by Fujian Mawei Shipbuilding in Fujian Province, China, the CSS Olympia is 84.25m long with a capacity for 500 people.  The primary function of the Olympia is to act as a floating accommodation unit for rig personnel. The vessel has a DP-3 rating and will remain connected to an offshore facility via a telescopic gangway system.  Other features include a 12.8 ton rated helideck, and a 150MT telescopic boom
