Harvey Gulf International Marine announced that Steve Olmos has been brought on board to manage and continue to grow Harvey Gulfs Subsea Solutions installations group.Olmos leaves Oceaneering International after 40 years in which he performed various roles, most recently overseeing umbilical installations, flexible pipe and jumpers as well as various decommissioning projects.Harvey Gulf CEO, Shane Guidry, said, "With our successful start of Harvey Gulf Subsea Solutions and, the demand we have seen so far in the industry, I am happy to welcome Steve Olmos to my Subsea Solutions executive team.
Harvey Gulf Adds Battery Power to Harvey Champion PSV
U.S.-based offshore vessel operator Harvey Gulf International Marine has said it has converted its Harvey Champion platform supply vessel into a dual-fuel vessel. The Harvey Champion is now operating on both battery power and diesel. A special Offshore Supply Vessel (OSV) has been delivered to Shell for its deepwater operations in the Gulf of Mexico. The vessel, Harvey Energy, is chartered from Harvey Gulf International Marine and is the first of its kind in the region to run on both liquefied natural gas (LNG) and diesel.
