McDermott Wraps Up Ichthys LNG Campaign

McDermott International announced Monday it has completed the final offshore campaign for the INPEX-operated Ichthys LNG Project, located offshore Western Australia.This was the second of two remaining work packages left under McDermott's contract, which was the largest subsea contract ever awarded at the time, the company said. UTEC Wins Survey Work Offshore India

Surveying company UTEC, part of subsea services group Acteon, said it has been awarded a subcontract by McDermott International for a series of survey work scopes offshore eastern India.The work, due to commence in December 2018, will see UTEC provide surface and subsea positioning services during the installation of subsea flowlines, pipeline end manifolds and terminations, jumpers, risers and umbilicals that form part of the development of a field in water depths to 2,100 meters.UTEC said it will operate equipment and personnel initially on three vessels: the McDermott operated DLV 2000 pipelay

McDermott International, Inc. announced Tuesday it has been awarded a contract from Shell Exploration and Production Company, a subsidiary of Royal Dutch Shell plc, for new subsea umbilical and flowline installation at the Great White Frio development in Alaminos Canyon Block 857 in the U.S. Gulf of Mexico. McDermott, CB&I Shareholders Approve Merger

McDermott International shareholders on Tuesday approved a merger with Chicago Bridge & Iron Co that creates a vertically integrated onshore and offshore engineering and construction company, thwarting an attempt by offshore drilling contractor Subsea 7 to block the deal.More than 50 percent of McDermott shareholders supported the deal and approved a 3-to-1 reverse stock split, according to a spokesman. CB&I shareholders also voted in favor the merger, the companies said, and the combination is expected to close on May 10.Shares of CB&I were up about 6 percent, trading at around $16.
