Martin Linge Hooked Up to Shore Power

Statoil completes acquisition of Byrding interest

;) completed their previously announced transaction, whereby Statoil has acquired Wintershall’s 25% interest in the Byrding project on the Norwegian Continental Shelf (NCS). As a result, Statoil’s operated interest in Byrding (PL090B) has increased from 45% to 70%. Byrding is an oil and gas discovery in the northern part of the North Sea, near the Troll / Fram area which represents a focal point of Norway's oil and gas production. The field is scheduled to come on stream in the third quarter of 2017.  

Statoil, Partners Submit PDO for Byrding

Statoil and its partners today submitted the Plan for Development and Operation of the Byrding  oil and gas discovery in the North Sea to government authorities. Capital expenditures estimated at approximately NOK 1 billion, recoverable volumes are projected at approx. 11 million barrels of oil equivalent. “This is another example of a new discovery being realised through existing infrastructure,” says Torger Rød, Statoil’s senior vice president for project development. Europa Oil & Gas (Holdings) Update

Europa Oil & Gas (Holdings) plc, the AIM quoted oil and gas company with producing and exploration assets in Europe, provided today an update from Egdon Resources (‘Egdon’) regarding the decision to proceed with the development of the Wressle oil and gas discovery (‘Wressle’) on Licence PEDL180, with first oil anticipated in H2 2016, subject to receipt of all required consents.  Europa has a 33.3% working interest in PEDL180, which lies on structural trend with and 5 km from the Europa operated Crosby Warren field in East Lincolnshire, alongside Egdon (operator, 25%)

Exploration Well in Drivis Completed

Operator Statoil has together with PL532 partners made an oil and gas discovery in the Drivis prospect in the Barents Sea. This concludes the 2013/2014 exploration programme around the Johan Castberg field. Well 7220/7-3 S, drilled by the rig West Hercules, has proven a 68 metre gross gas column in the Stø formation and an 86 metre gross oil column in the Stø and Nordmela formations. Statoil estimates the total volumes in Drivis to be in the range of 44-63 million barrels of recoverable oil equivalent (o.e.), out of which 42-54 million barrels of oil. Statoil ASA has together with its partners Eni Norge AS and Petoro AS made an oil and gas discovery in the Skavl prospect in PL532, close to Johan Castberg in the Barents Sea. Well 7220/7-2 S, drilled by the rig West Hercules, has proven a 22-metre gas column and a 23-metre oil column in the Jurassic Tubåen formation, and a 133-metre oil column in the Triassic Fruholmen formation. Statoil estimates the volumes in Skavl to be in the range of 20-50 million barrels of recoverable oil. AGR to Drill Exploration Wells for RWE Dea in Titan Area

and reporting for the project. Two wells contracted will be delivered in 2014 using the Leiv Eiriksson semisubmersible rig. The Titan field is located in Block 36/9 in the Norwegian sector of the North Sea with a water depth of 360 - 370 meters. RWE Dea Norge drilled the first promising oil and gas discovery in the production license 420 in 2010. AGR has enhanced previous experience working on the Leiv Eiriksson and recently delivered two wells in the Barents Sea using the rig.
