EdgeTech Debuts Pair of Pole Mount Sub-Bottom Profiling Systems

introduces two new Pole Mount Sub-Bottom Profilers to its family of 3400 Sub-Bottom Profiling Systems. The new Ultra-Lightweight Shallow Water and Lightweight Shallow Water over-the-side pole mount 3400-OTS systems transmits wide band Frequency Modulated (FM) pulses using EdgeTech’s Full Spectrum CHIRP technology. The systems use flat multi-channel hydrophone arrays to generate high resolution images of the sub-bottom stratigraphy in oceans, lakes, and rivers and provides excellent penetration in various bottom types. The 3400-OTS receiver array is segmented for standard sub-bottom profiling operations

Side Scan Sonar Helps Discover Huge Reef

Side Scan Sonar system operating at 100/400 kHz to find and map this exceptional coral reef.   The 4200 Series is a versatile side scan sonar system that can be configured for almost any survey application from shallow to deep water operations. The 4200 utilizes EdgeTech’s Full Spectrum CHIRP technology to provide crisp, high resolution imagery at long ranges allowing customers to cover larger areas and save money spent on costly surveys.  One of the unique features of the 4200 is the optional Multi-Pulse (MP) technology, which places two sound pulses in the water rather than one

EdgeTech Releases Tri-Frequency Side Scan Sonar

unit combines EdgeTech’s line of side scan sonars, sub-bottom profilers and MPES bathymetry into one fully integrated system. The new 2300 system is suited for deep water combined sonar operations and provides many enhancements to traditional systems. Utilizing EdgeTech’s Full Spectrum CHIRP technology to provide crisp, high resolution imagery, surveyors can choose to operate any two frequencies simultaneously from the versatile tri-frequency system. Sub-bottom profiler capabilities have been expanded on the new 2300 and includes the ability to incorporate up to four low frequency transducers
