US Nuclear Sub Hits 'Object' in Asia-Pacific

U.S. Navy submarine USS Connecticut (SSN 22) hit an "object" while submerged in the Asia-Pacific region, but the incident did not result in any life-threatening injuries, the United States military said on Thursday.The incident took place on Saturday and the submarine's nuclear propulsion plant and spaces were not impacted and remain operational, the Navy said in a statement."The submarine remains in a safe and stable condition," the Navy added.U.S. officials, speaking on the condition of anonymity, said the incident took place in international waters in the South China Sea and

U.S. Military Trials Swarmdiver

UUV Aquabotix Ltd (ASX:UUV)  was awarded an approximate $150,000 contract for the purchase of its SwarmDiver system along with training and test support for the United States Military.This hardware and services sale will enable necessary government evaluation activities for the Military’s consideration of operational use of the product in theater.This award represents the fourth (4th) order placed by the United States Armed Forces related to the SwarmDiver family of vehicles since the product’s launch in April 2018.

and currently otherwise unaddressed governmental need. Detection and neutralization of unexploded ordnance is one of many uses for SwarmDiver, and the company is actively pursuing multiple opportunities for a range of uses and modifications of SwarmDiver with the various branches of the United States military.
