Exalto 223BDX Wiper Motor System From IMTRA

IMTRA, the leading manufacturer and importer of quality marine products, announced today the latest addition to its extensive line of wiper products, the 223BDX external pantograph/pendulum style wiper system from Exalto. Ideally suited for push boats, the new Exalto wipers offer unmatched mounting flexibility and installation ease. The systems’ easily adjustable sweep angles, wiper arm lengths and spring pressure make the Exalto 223BDX easy to configure and install for a wide variety of window configurations—significantly reducing cost and delivery time.

Designed to offer unparalleled options to both new and existing customers, Exalto’s external pantograph/pendulum style motors are fully compatible with the existing Exalto range of wiper control products, washing systems and accessories. The only wiper system with a motor that is housed in marine grade 316 stainless steel and protected from water ingress to the IPx6 rating, the Exalto 223BDX ensures long life in exposed, wet environments. The unit has a maximum wiper arm and blade length of 29.5-inches and 31.5-inches, respectively, with a total wiper reach of 45.25-inches.

“Developed as a result of extensive market research, the Exalto 223BDX is the latest in our extensive catalog and represents the next chapter in our long history of providing high-quality wiper products to our marine customers,” said Alex Larsen, vice president of commercial sales, IMTRA. “Our commercial customers demand a reliable, readily-available product and this wiper solution is designed to address that need. Easy to install, and quickly configured for any application, we stock and assemble the Exalto systems in the US, so we can rapidly supply complete solutions at prices that cannot be touched by other products on the market.”

The powerful new wiper motor from Exalto is available to run off either 12V or 24V DC power and is available with numerous switching configurations. Employing an external surface-mount with adjustable mounting points, the motor is housed in a powder coated 316 stainless steel box and includes a quick connect waterproof electrical connection. The wiper arms are also constructed of 316 stainless steel with solid brass heads and can be adjusted in length from 14.8-inches to 29.5-inches. Featuring an adjustable spring gallery for easy wiper blade pressure modification and the option of a second spring, the wiper arms are coated with durable low-glare black polyester epoxy and fold back for easy windshield cleaning. An optional arm-mounted washing jet is also available. Exalto wiper blades come in twelve sizes ranging from 9.8-inches to 31.5-inches and feature a stainless steel main support, stainless steel lower bridges for
standard wiper blades, high-density synthetic lower bridges for heavy duty wiper blades, and replaceable rubber inserts. Exalto systems from IMTRA are protected by a 3-year warranty on motors and arms, and a 1-year warranty for blades.

Exalto wiper systems are currently available through approved IMTRA marine retailers, shipyards and marine retrofitters throughout the United States and Canada, as well as online at www.imtra.com.
