Greensea, creator of universal marine industry operating platform OPENSEA, has recently announced the appointment of Matthew Parrilla as Robotics Engineer.

Parrilla will work in the Emerging Technologies group at Greensea, led by founder and CEO Ben Kinnaman. This group focuses on the next generation of supervised autonomy and navigation technologies behind Greensea's marine software.

Prior to joining Greensea, Matthew was a lead developer of a customer facing application at Cox Automotive, Inc. He earned a B.S. degree in Physics from the University of Maryland, worked as a data visualization artist, co-founded a startup, and spends his time backcountry skiing whenever possible.

“In the development of technology that better serves offshore operators, we seek technologists with broad and varied backgrounds”, explained Marybeth Gilliam, COO, Greensea. “Matt's background in Physics, his expertise with various software platforms, and his experience and passion for data mining and visualization make him an ideal team member.”
