Teledyne Marine said it has scored a significant order from Texas-based Survey Equipment Services (SES) for a number of its new singlebeam echosounders, the Teledyne Odom Hydrographic Echotrac E20.

The Echotrac E20 is the next generation of Odom Hydrographic’s singlebeam echosounders, built on new sonar technology at the factory in Denmark, Teledyne Marine’s Sonar Technology Center of Excellence.

Designed for ease of use and portability, the Echotrac E20 is a dual channel survey echosounder operating from 10 to 300 kHz operating frequency and from 0.2m to 6km depth range, delivering precise depth information from the first ping.

According to the manufacturer, the Echotrac E20 features greater portability, faster setup times and higher quality data, minimizing time to survey and reduced data processing time. It is robust, compact and water resistant for reliable performance under nearly all field conditions.

Alan Craig, President and CEO of SES, said his company placed a stock order of more than 25 of the new echosounders in order to meet demand in North America market.
