Planet Ocean to Host Free Workshop

"Measuring Dissolved Gases and Ocean Acidification”

Planet Ocean Ltd. and CONTROS Systems & Solutions GmbH are teaming up to bring a free one-day workshop to discuss the latest research and technology on “Measuring Dissolved Gases and Ocean Acidification”.

Planet Ocean said it invites marine scientists with an interest in dissolved gases and ocean acidification to this workshop where it will provide a mixture of presentations on key topical research and hands on experience using current sensor technology. Topics include an introduction to the carbonate system and pCO2 measurements, total alkalinity, DO, CH4, pH and other dissolved gases.

The first series of workshops will be held at the following locations:

  • Monday, July 14 - National Oceanography Center Southampton (NOC)
  • Tuesday, July 15 - Plymouth Marine Laboratory (PML)
  • Thursday, July 17 - Scottish Association for Marine Science (SAMS)
