OFG, EMGS Enter Cooperation Agreement
Ocean Floor Geophysics Inc (OFG) and Electromagnetic Geoservices ASA (EMGS) signed a cooperation agreement under which the two companies agree to work together on various projects to promote the use of marine CSEM technology.The agreement places specific emphasis on exploiting the obvious synergies between the state-of-the-art towed-streamer CSEM system from OFG (under its exclusive right to acquire the PGS EM technology) and the industry-leading sea-bottom CSEM/MT nodal system from EMGS.

New Polar-Orbit Satellite Under NOAA Control
These satellites are critical for advanced warning of severe weather including tornado outbreaks, heavy snowfall, hurricanes, heat waves, floods, & wildfires. Data from the Suomi National Polar-orbiting Partnership (Suomi NPP) satellite will continue to strengthen NOAA’s ability to predict severe weather days in advance. Suomi NPP data are also used to generate dozens of environmental data products, including measurements of clouds, vegetation, ocean color, and land and sea surface temperatures.
TGS in Seismic Data Deal with Fugro
TGS announces commercial agreement to sell Fugro's 2D multi-client library. The agreement covers more than 1,000,000 km of seismic data in areas of great strategic interest for TGS. While the brokerage agreement provides TGS with more data coverage in existing focus areas such as Northwest Europe, it also provides access to a broad range of new client contacts and exposure to seven new countries/areas where TGS is not active today.

Ocean Rig Orders Turnkey Kongsberg Simulator
Kongsberg Maritime says that Ocean Rig UDW Inc., a major international offshore drilling contractor, has chosen it to supply an extensive offshore and navigation simulator package for a brand new training centre. Kongsberg explains that Ocean Rig owns and operates two ultra-deepwater semi-submersible drilling rigs and nine ultra-deepwater drill-ships (including three newbuilds for delivery 2014-2016).
