In its January/February edition, Marine Technology Reporter published a supplement celebrating the 50th Anniversary of Oceanology International, the subsea industry's largest global conference & exhibition. We asked industry leaders to weigh in on the value of Oi, and here we feature Matt Quartley, managing director, Valeport Ltd., which coincidentally is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year.

“Oceanology International seems almost symbiotic with our industry – as the size and significance of the industry has grown so has the show, but I firmly believe that the show itself has always helped to fuel the growth of the sector.  Whilst the historical days of the Brighton Metropole are fondly remembered, the current format continues to provide a real focal point for product launches, establishing new business relationships and renewing old ones, whether it’s held in London, or elsewhere.  We believe that Valeport has attended every single Oceanology show, growing steadily alongside them, and are delighted to be sharing our 50th birthday year with them.”
