Forum's Arctic Research ROV Completes Sea Trials

ROV-specialist Forum Energy Technologies has said that its light work-class remotely operated vehicle (ROV), Comanche 38, has successfully completed sea trials with Amundsen Science, Université Laval, Canada. The ROV was sold to the scientific research organization last year and will be supporting the exploration of Arctic and Sub-Arctic seafloor ecosystems. University of Limerick Buys ROV for Renewables Research

The University of Limerick (UL) will deploy a brand new remotely operated underwater vehicle (ROV) to support its research into subsea inspection and intervention campaigns on renewable energy sector infrastructure.The new underwater vehicle, a Comanche 2,000 meter observation class ROV designed and manufactured in-house at Forum Energy Technologies’ Kirkbymoorside Yorkshire facility, was officially launched at the docks in Limerick City by Minister of State for Trade, Employment, Business, EU Digital Single Market and Data Protection, Pat Breen TD.The Comanche ROV was selected due to its high

IKM Subsea Singapore Starts 2018 with Multiple Contracts

IKM Subsea Singapore said it has kicked off 2018 with a double contract award.   The first is a contract to provide two remotely operated vehicles (ROV) for a floating liquefied natural gas (FLNG) mooring installation in Bangladesh. IKM Subsea provided one Merlin WR200 and a Comanche with the necessary toolings onboard the vessel Jumbo Javelin. IKM said it was chosen due to previous experience with the client, Jumbo Offshore, and the ability to perform in strong weather conditions in Bangladesh. With the Merlin WR200, the operating weather window is extended to help and execute the project.

Forum Signs Comanche Deal with Baltic Diver Germany

Forum Energy Technologies, Inc. has announced the sale of two Sub-Atlantic Comanche ROVs to international diving contractor Baltic Taucherei- und Bergungsbetrieb Rostock GmbH (Baltic Diver Germany). The deal, supported by distributor Scholz Ingenieur Bϋro, will see both systems delivered at the beginning of May 2017 following an optimized manufacturing schedule. The Forum Sub-Atlantic Comanche was chosen due to its high thrust-to-weight ratio and compact laydown requirements which make it ideally suited for the operating environments expected by Baltic Diver. Forum ROV to support University Renewables Projects

Forum Receives Order for Three ROVs

Inc. has received an order from New Orient Marine Pte. Ltd. to supply three remotely operated vehicles (ROVs) for its multipurpose ice-class vessel currently under construction in Singapore.   The order includes two Perry XLX 200 horsepower, 4,000 meter Work Class ROV systems and one Sub-Atlantic Comanche 3,000 meter Observation Class ROV. Seatronics, Meridian Complete Mexico Pipeline, Deliver Cost Saving

  Seatronics has completed a project with marine services organisation Meridian Ocean Services (Meridian) in Mexico.
