
Mooring Change-out for the Alba FSU

Statoil Contracts for Asco
Statoil operated Mariner field, located approximately 150 kilometers east of the Shetland Isles, is currently under development and production is scheduled to start in 2017. The development concept includes a production, drilling and quarters (PDQ) platform based on a steel jacket and a floating storage unit (FSU). Drilling will be carried out from the PDQ drilling rig, with a jack-up rig assisting for the initial years. In the period when both the PDQ and the jack-up are drilling Mariner wells, the field will require at least five sailings a week from the Peterhead supply base. Statoil

UK Suppliers Win Statoil Contracts

Wärtsilä Pumps Chosen for North Sea FSU
Wärtsilä said it signed a contract in late 2013 for a range of pumping solutions for a new Floating Storage Unit (FSU) which will operate on the Mariner oilfield in the North Sea. Wärtsilä's contract was signed with Samsung Heavy Industries (SHI) which will build the FSU in South Korea on behalf of Statoil, the Norway based international energy company. Wärtsilä is to supply inert gas systems for a Floating Storage Unit (FSU) on Norway's Heidrun offshore oil & gas field, and for two supporting shuttle tankers.
