Xylem Acquires Hypack, Inc.

Xylem Inc. has acquired substantially all of the assets of HYPACK, Inc., effective October 22, 2015.    A release from Hypack noted: "Going forward, HYPACK's expertise in hydrographic survey data acquisition, processing, and visualization software will complement Xylem's capabilities in Ocean and Coastal analytics and applications."   "Because our customers are our top priority, our goal is to make this transition as seamless as possible. The way we conduct business today will remain unchanged and your HYPACK contacts and their phone numbers will also remain unchanged.

HYPACK Integrates the Diver6

HYPACK, Inc. informs it has recently finished testing the Diver6.DLL using a simulator and reading the network datagrams into HYPACK.   HYPACK takes vessel position and heading and applies the information in the datagram to determine the diver location in 3D.   The screen captures demonstrate the integration.

Pradith Joins HYPACK Support Team

HYPACK, Inc. announced that Vitad Pradith has joined the HYPACK support team.   In his new role, Pradith will work alongside HYPACk’s support team, providing customers with customer support, onsite trainings and system integration.   Pradith previously worked as a Physical Scientist at NOAA Office of Coast Survey for the past 11.5 years. His primary role provided the technical direction and support to the Coast Survey Navigation Response Teams (NRT) who are agile teams of hydrographers performing nautical chart updates and function as emergency responders during national incidents

HYPACK Appoints Orlinsky as President

Harold Orlinsky has been named president of HYPACK, Inc.    Orlinsky began his hydrographic career as a NOAA field officer in 1989. He joined HYPACK in 2005 as a hydrographer on the support staff and has served as chief operations officer since 2008.   Orlinsky’s new duties will include long-term strategic planning to keep HYPACK at the forefront of the hydrographic software industry.   Pat Sanders will continue to serve as the manager of the software development group and chairman of the board.

More than 250 attendees, 25 exhibitors and 6,000 remote viewers from around the world participated in the HYPACK 2015 Training Event in San Antonio, Texas. HYPACK also unveiled its new version of HYPACK 2015, which it says features new capabilities and improvements. C&C Selects HYPACK for Anchor Handling and Positioning
