ABL Gets Neptun Deep Job for OMV Petrom in Black Sea

OMV Petrom has appointed global energy and marine consultancy ABL to provide Marine Warranty Survey (MWS) services for the construction of Romania’s Neptun Deep gas field project in the Black Sea.ABL’s London operation has won the contract to provide MWS services to review, survey and approve all operations relating to the transportation and installation (T&I) of critical project assets for development of both Domino and Pelican South fields.ABL’s scope of work includes the T&I of the shallow water platform, subsea installation at both fields including a 160 km subsea pipeline

Shearwater in 'Pioneering' Seismic Survey Project Offshore Norway

Offshore seismic survey specialist Shearwater on Friday announced a new project with the Austrian oil firm OMV for a "pioneering" towed streamer survey with Ocean Bottom Nodes over the Berling gas and condensate discovery in the Norwegian Sea. Spanning 1040 sq.km, this hybrid survey starts in July 2023 and will last for three months. Shearwater's vessels, SW Tasman and Oceanic Vega, will lead the operations. SW Tasman will operate as an ROV node deployment vessel for first time, following its conversion announced in October, 2022 and will deploy the nodes before Oceanic

IKM Works on Pipeline, Umbilicals Concept for Equinor's Barents Sea Oil Discovery

IKM Ocean Design has won a contract with Equinor for a pipeline engineering concept study for the Wisting oil field in the Barents Sea.Wisting, located in the Barents Sea, 300 kilometers from Norway’s northern coast, in a water depth of 400 meters was discovered by OMV in 2013.Equinor in December 2019 took over the operatorship for the development phase, while OMV will assume the role as the operator for the operation phase.Under the contract awarded to IKM Ocean Design, the company will be responsible for the conceptual design of the Wisting pipelines and umbilical’s routing and overall
