Windward Unveils AI Solution for Critical Maritime Infrastructure Protection

Windward has launched a Critical Maritime Infrastructure Protection solution, an AI-powered solution designed to protect the world’s essential maritime infrastructure against growing threats.Windward’s Critical Maritime Infrastructure Protection solution addresses three primary threats to maritime infrastructure, deep-sea research operations, shallow-water sabotage, and attacks on offshore oil rigs and platforms. The AI-powered solution monitors high-risk vessels to flag suspicious activities, be it a rogue state research vessel in the deep sea, or a shadow fleet vessel in shallow

Balmoral Develops Offshore Wind Cable Protection System FibreFlexx

Balmoral, a UK-based engineering company specializing in offshore buoyancy, insulation and protection solutions for the offshore energy industry, has developed Balmoral FibreFlexx - a cable protection solution for offshore wind.According to Balmoral, its fiber-reinforced cable protection system mechanically locks to the end connectors removing the need to rely on unpredictable PU bonding.Balmoral says FibreFlex’s long-term creep performance is a substantial improvement on traditional cable protection while bending and axial stiffness is optimized without having to qualify alternative PU materials.

Balmoral Develops Cable Protection Solution for Offshore Wind

UK-based engineering company Balmoral has developed what it says is a unique integrated cable protection system for offshore wind applications.Dr. Aneel Gill, product R&D manager, said Balmoral's CPS systems are designed based on the fatigue limit state (FLS) and offer something different "because of their unique diverless removal feature and the ability to account for free span caused by scour development.""Our patented fiber-reinforced technology adds stiffness to the system controlling the curvature during the project lifespan. This reduces the amount of movement experienced

MacArtney Camera Protection for Underwater Welding

In response to sustained demand from the professional diving industry, MacArtney says it has developed an innovative but simple and rugged protection solution for its LUXUS series of compact underwater cameras and lights. The new LUXUS Protection Cap will primarily be used to shield the lens of diver camera and light systems during hyperbaric welding, blasting and cutting operations but can also be used for equipment protection on other mission types.
