U.K. Minister Visits Atlas Elektronik

Atlas Elektronik U.K. hosted a visit by the Minister for Defense Equipment, Support and Technology, Philip Dunne, to its Winfrith site on July 4. Mr. Dunne was accompanied by South Dorset MP, Richard Drax.

Mr. Dunne and Mr. Drax met the Company Chairman, Rear Admiral Nigel Guild and Managing Director, Dr. Antoni Mazur and were given a tour of the site including unique acoustic test facilities and submarine sonar manufacturing suite. They were also briefed on the company’s support to the Ministry of Defense allied with a growing export business.

Mr. Dunne said, “As the Minister responsible for defense procurement, it is extremely valuable to meet with companies in our supply chain, to see first hand the valuable work they do, and capability they provide to our Armed Forces. With my additional responsibility for defense exports it is also important to understand what I can do to support exports, which are vital to our defense industry remaining globally competitive. I was delighted to be able to visit Atlas Elektronik U.K., to see the excellent, innovative, capabilities they have and meet the people who deliver invaluable technology to our Armed Forces.”
