Skipper Joins CH2M HILL’s Ports & Maritime Group

UK consulting, design, construction, & operations firm, CH2M HIL, say they have appointed  Dr. Colin Skipper as Vice President and Global Oil & Gas Market Sector Leader within the firm’s Ports & Maritime Group.

“We are very excited that Colin has joined CH2M HILL,” states Ports & Maritime Director Patrick King. “His broad industry experience, proven abilities in strategic planning and business development, and his strong leadership will be key to our continued growth in the Oil & Gas market.”

In his new role, CH2M HILL informs, Dr. Skipper will work with major oil and gas companies and independent operators throughout the world on the planning, design, and construction of new greenfield oil & gas terminals, as well as the rehabilitation and upgrading of existing terminals. He will also support the firm’s experienced and diverse staff of engineers and specialists as they focus on all aspects of oil and gas marine terminals, including vessel berthing facilities, conventional and cryogenic loading/unloading systems, safety, fire protection, and utility systems.

Dr. Skipper brings more than 25 years of experience in the planning and execution of engineering and environmental studies in support of major oil & gas, power and petro-chemical projects worldwide.  He has led teams at all stages of projects, from project planning and site selection, through conceptual design, FEED and EPC execution, and pre-startup operational planning.

He will be based in the firm’s Swindon, United Kingdom, office, but will be working globally in support of CH2M HILL’s customers.
