Subsea Workover Riser Contract for Scana Offshore

Scana Industrier ASA has through its subsidiary Scana Offshore Vestby, been awarded a contract for upgrade of workover risers.

The value of the contract is approx. 40-million NOK. First call off has a value of approx. 22-million NOK.

Thermal coating of components such as production risers and other components for subsea operations is the key to Scana Offshore Vestby's services, Jan Henry Melhus, COO Scana Industrier, says. "Scana Offshore Vestby has provided thermal coating services to operators, service contractors, equipment manufacturers and rig owners for more than 20 years. The company is aiming to increase the production capacity to meet customer needs in a growing market. It is a testament to the company - as well as to the offshore service industry in Norway - that the quality and production is recognized to be on a world class level. This gives hopes for continued positive developments for Scana Offshore Vestby and the oil & gas activities of Scana Industrier for the future," Melhus added.

(The workover riser provides a conduit between the surface and the subsea equipment, ensuring full pressure and mechanical integrity during all operations.)
