EnerMech Secures Subsea 7 Australia Contract

EnerMech has been awarded its first contract by Subsea 7 in the Australian oil and gas market.   The mechanical engineering group will perform a range of subsea flowline and umbilical pre-commissioning on the Woodside-operated North West Shelf (NWS) Project’s Persephone project and North Rankin Complex in Western Australia.   The workscope includes flooding, hydro-testing and dewatering of flow lines & well jumpers and testing all hydraulic, electrical and optical cores on the main line umbilical, EFL’s and HFL’s with work expected to start this month (December).

EnerMech Looking Long-Term In Norway

As the price of energy continues to fall and talk turns toward pulling the plug on select offshore energy projects, mechanical engineering company EnerMech seems to be bucking the trend in Norway, announcing plans to boost its workforce by more than 20% in the coming year, expanding its offering in Stavanger and Bergen from 60 to 75 staff, with additional plans to invest more than $4m in new equipment. EnerMech Acquisitions Extend its Presence in US, Africa

Oil and gas engineering specialist, EnerMech, has extended its international presence in the cranes and lifting and valves sectors with two acquisitions in the USA and Africa. The combined value of the deals is said to be approximately £4 million and are forecast to add an extra £25 million to group revenues over the next three years. Aberdeen-headquartered EnerMech provides a range of mechanical engineering services to the international energy industry, employs more than 2,000 staff across 30 locations and the company expects 2014 revenues to exceed £280 million. EnerMech Tests Subsea Flowlines with STM

As part of a recent North Sea pipeline project, EnerMech were contracted to flood and hydro test offshore subsea flowlines. The testing operations were to be conducted in standard industry fashion by using a vessel-based downline spread. This meant the vessel would need to remain connected to the flowlines via the downline throughout the test period, adding to client cost.
