Event: HYPACK 2023 Hydrographic and Dredging Training Event

Details on the annual HYPACK Training Event were recently released, scheduled to be held January 9-12, 2023 in Panama City Beach, Florida, marking 30 years of the training event. The training will offer instruction on the newest features of HYPACK 2023 and training in HYPACK, HYSWEEP, and DREDGEPACK software. Attendees will have exclusive access to all live training sessions and the ability to network with attendees and exhibitors. USS Delivers Unmanned Surface Vessel to Tetra Tech

.USS said the delivery to Tetra Tech included an Inception Class MKII Unmanned Surface Vessel (USV) with a bespoke cooling system and two additional survey instrumentation pods for harbor survey projects. The first payload pod has been fitted out with an R2SONIC 2020, SBG Ekinox-D, Valeport SVS and Hypack Hysweep software for undertaking high-resolution multi-beam data acquisition, USS said.A second pod will be fitted with an EdgeTech side-scan sonar and the third with a single-beam echo-sounder, both for subsequent operation in the USA. Director of USS, James Williams explained: "Our customers

Commercial Hydrographic Training with USV

CTI Announces SonarWiz, Hires Maddock

Chesapeake Technology Inc. (CTI) hired David Maddock shortly before Ocean Business 2019 (OB2019).Maddock has over a decade of experience as a software engineer in the hydrographic industry. Before joining the CTI team, he served as Technical Director for Programming at HYPACK where he worked with side scan, sub-bottom, multibeam, and LiDAR data acquisition and processing.
