The APAC Offshore Market: Riding the Wave of Success into 2024 and Beyond

(boe). This series of successful discoveries highlights the untapped potential in Malaysia. With Petronas remaining committed to E&P investments in the region, Malaysia is expected to remain one of the largest markets for support vessels in the coming years. From decommissioning projects to new oil discoveries, there is no shortage of opportunities in APAC.Asia Offshore Wind Taking Off?While commercial-scale projects have been slow to take shape in Asia, we are gradually transitioning from demonstration and pilot projects to large-scale commercial projects. Aker Solutions to Supply Subsea Production System for Mero 1

Aker Solutions said it has secured an order from Petrobras to provide a subsea production system and related services for the Mero 1 project, the first full production project within the major Mero field development, one of the largest oil discoveries in Brazil's pre-salt area. The ultra-deepwater Mero field is located in the northwestern area of the original Libra block, which is about 180 kilometers south of Rio de Janeiro. First oil was produced in November last year.Petrobras is the operator of the consortium developing the Libra area. Shell, Total, CNPC and CNOOC Limited are partners. Pre-Sal

Exxon Expects More Oil from Guyana's Offshore Block

Stabroek oil block offshore Guyana to contain about 25 percent more recoverable resources than estimated, they said on Monday.Exxon and U.S.-based partner Hess Corp said more than 4 billion barrels of oil equivalent could be recovered from the Stabroek block, which is part of one of the biggest oil discoveries in the world in the last decade. The previous estimate was 3.2 billion barrels of oil equivalent, Exxon, the world's largest publicly traded oil producer, said.Besides Exxon and Hess, China's CNOOC is also part of the consortium that is interested in Guyana's Atlantic coast resources

The Pikka and Horseshoe oil discoveries near the Colville River delta just outside NPR-A were announced in 2015 and 2017. Industry announcements suggest that the two discoveries 21 miles apart likely are in the same oil pool, which may hold more than 1 billion barrels of recoverable oil.   “Advances in technology and

New discoveries are crucial to counteract decline om the NCS. “The Barents Sea has yielded several of Norway’s most significant oil discoveries in recent years. We are looking forward to test new targets, both in the relatively well known geology around in the Johan Castberg and Hoop/Wisting area, as well as some new frontier opportunities with greater geological uncertainty but also high impact potential.
