Global Marine Taps IHC for Normand Clipper Cable Lay Spread

Dutch offshore equipment and vessel builder Royal IHC has secured a contract with Global Marine Group to design and delivery of an integrated power cable lay spread.The equipment will be installed on its newly chartered vessel, Normand Clipper, which Global Marine has chartered from Solstad Offshore.The spread to be supplied by Royal IHC is optimized for inter-array cable lay and includes a patented quadrant handling system for second-end deployment operations, Royal IHC said.The equipment also includes IHC’s 15Te break-back tensioners and an overarching control system."This

Ocean Infinity Mobilizes Normand Frontier

Subsea technology and data company Ocean Infinity announced the launch of its third vessel, Normand Frontier. The vessel has now been mobilized, having been signed on a three-year year charter with the Norwegian ship owner Solstad Offshore, in December 2018.The Normand Frontier is a modern, fuel-efficient, multipurpose vessel capable of both supporting autonomous underwater vehicle (AUV) and unmanned surface vehicle (USV) operations, as well as deepwater search and recovery services. IKM Subsea Singapore Inks ROV Contract with Solstad

Solstad Offshore in Singapore has recently awarded IKM Subsea Singapore a service contract to provide ROV services onboard on the DLB Norce Endeavour for construction support projects offshore in Thailand (hat-trick award from 2015). The barge will be mobilized in Singapore and will be working in the Gulf of Thailand for various clients.    IKM Subsea will provide the Merlin WR 200 Work class ROV together with the required tooling’s to execute the project which consist of numerous platform and Pipelines installation coupled with dive support for Subsea tie-in and commissioning.

iSURVEY Singapore Secures Solstad Offshore Contract

iSURVEY Pte Ltd, Singapore has been awarded a marine construction survey support contract with Solstad Offshore Asia Pacific for works onboard the DLB Norce Endeavour. Due to commence in March 2017, with options for extension in 2018 and 2019, the four month contract will see iSURVEY provide positioning and survey support to Solstad Offshore Asia Pacific’s 2017 pipeline and platform installation program in Thailand. Subsea 7 Announces PLSV Swap off Brazil

Subsea 7 S.A. said it has reached an agreement with Petrobras to substitute a pipelay support vessel (PLSV) working off Brazil.   The agreement will see the Subsea-7-owned PLSV Seven Mar swapped in for the chartered PLSV Normand Seven in late June.   As a result, Normand Seven will be returned to its owner, Norway-based Solstad Offshore, at the end of its fixed-term charter agreement.   Subsea 7 said there are no other significant changes to its contractual terms and conditions with Petrobras.

Solstad Offshore Secures Contract with Technip

Solstad Offshore ASA (SOFF) says it has entered into a frame agreement with Technip Norge AS and Technip UK Limited (Technip) to supply vessels for trenching, construction and subsea services. The deal’s commercial terms have not been disclosed. The frame agreement, which is valid for 2016-2018, will enable Technip to utilize Normand Progress, Normand Pioneer, Normand Ranger and Normand Mariner.
