Marine Specialist Ibrahim Joins Partrac

Oceanographer, Chartered Scientist and Marine Scientist, Dr. Joanna Ibrahim has joined the Partrac team as Marine Data Manager, whilst Dr, Rachel Helsby starts maternity leave.

Dr. Ibrahim is a specialist in coastal engineering, coastal and estuarine sediment dynamics and environmental impact assessment (EIA) with 20 years’ experience primarily in coastal zone development, renewable energy (offshore wind, wave and tidal), nuclear and oil and gas industries. She joins Partrac having been Principal Oceanographer at Titan Environmental Surveys for the past five years, and previously Metoc (now Intertek). Joanna also spent seven years as a lecturer of coastal engineering at the University of West Indies, Trinidad.

Director, Sam Athey said, “We are pleased to welcome Jo, which will ensure essential cover whilst Rachel is away. Her skills and experience both complement and enhance the team whilst Partrac continues to develop as a lead marine data acquisition and consultancy expert in Europe.”
