Spanish marine technology company OMIL Offshore has strengthened its portfolio of marine and subsea technologies through an exclusive Iberian Channel Partnership with HydroSurv, bringing the UK company's full range of REAV (Rapid Environmental Assessment Vessel) uncrewed surface platforms to customers across Spain and Portugal.

Under the agreement, OMIL Offshore will market, demonstrate, supply and provide first-line support for the entire REAV portfolio, giving customers access to commercially proven USV technology backed by local expertise and technical support.

The collaboration brings together complementary capabilities in surface and subsea operations. OMIL Offshore specializes in the supply and integration of ROV systems and marine inspection technologies, supporting applications across offshore energy, aquaculture, subsea cables and marine infrastructure. Its portfolio, including Deep Trekker ROV systems, complements HydroSurv's REAV platforms, creating opportunities to deliver integrated USV and ROV solutions tailored to the requirements of individual projects.

To support customer demonstrations across the region, OMIL Offshore is preparing to take delivery of a dedicated REAV-25 demonstrator. The compact, battery-electric USV will provide an in-country demonstration capability, allowing prospective customers to experience the platform first-hand, test its performance in real operating conditions and assess its suitability for their specific requirements before making an investment decision. This hands-on approach will help customers explore the potential of uncrewed surface technology for hydrographic surveying, infrastructure inspection, environmental monitoring and nearshore operations.

Ahead of the vessel's handover, Gonzalo Gonzalez, COO & Founder of OMIL Offshore, and Alejandro Cortegoso, Technical Support Manager, will visit HydroSurv's facilities in Exeter this week for operator training and acceptance testing of the REAV-25, preparing the team to demonstrate and support the platform in-country.

August marks the annual hydrographic e-magazine and the opportunity to highlight some of the global research underway in our world’s oceans. We explore hydrographic data, climate simulations, subsea networks and cybersecurity, camera technology, autonomous operations, sonar and survey solutions, as well as ROVs.
