Proserv Wins Subsea UK’s Company of the Year Award
Global energy services firm Proserv was awarded the Company of the Year Award at the 2015 Subsea UK Awards yesterday, the company announced. The ceremony, which recognizes subsea industry individuals and companies, was held at the Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Center and was attended by 850 industry members.
Judges for the awards hailed “key milestones” for Proserv in the last 12 months, including a series of high-profile contract awards across the globe, expanding its manufacturing facilities and launching a “game-changing” subsea technology, Energyvoice.com reported.
“It is a real privilege to win this award particularly during what has been a very challenging time for the industry," said David Lamont, chief executive at Proserv.
Proserv also secured “major investment” when it was acquired by US private equity firm, Riverstone.
The award for outstanding contribution to the subsea industry was given to commercial diving veteran, Alf Leadbitter, from the Underwater Centre in Fort William. Tracerco won the Simmons & Co-sponsored Innovation & Technology award in recognition of the success of its “Discovery” technology, which has gained praise as a break-through in subsea pipeline inspection.
