Swathe Services has announced that after extensive trials in the River Thames in 2014  the Port of London Authority has chosen the R2SONIC SONIC 2024 to be installed on its new survey vessel, due for delivery in October 2015.

The SONIC 2024 which has Ultra High Resolution (UHR) capability at 700 kHz will satisfy the PLA’s particular interest in structural monitoring along with other high resolution bathymetry survey requirements.

The sonar will be installed on a bespoke hull mounting with tilting capability on a new CTruk MPC19 which is currently under construction in Essex.
