BIRNS Grows Its Sales Team

Manufacturer of ISO 9001:2008, NAVSEA PRO-020-certifed lighting and connector systems BIRNS, Inc. has expanded its sales team with the appointments of Alan Whitebook and Jenny Ong.
 
As sales Applications Engineer, Whitebook will be responsible for the active sale of the company’s advanced deep submergence connectors and cable assemblies (electrical, coaxial, optical, electro-optical and electro-opto-mechanical) to worldwide users, comprising a combination of new prospects and existing customers. Whitebook brings more than 20 years of sales and design of military, aerospace and commercial connectors, cable assemblies, fusion splicers and devices to his new role. Prior to joining the team at BIRNS, he served in a range of sales leadership roles, including sales applications engineer for Diamond USA, Inc., a manufacturer of precision optical connectors and components, and technical sales manager for Coastal Connections, a manufacturer of custom fiber optical cable assemblies and applications engineer (electrical and fiber optic) at Packard-Hughes Interconnect (now Delphi Connection Systems). Whitebook holds a Master’s degree in business administration and a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering. 
 
Ong will offer support to the BIRNS sales team in her role as customer service representative, and will work directly both with BIRNS customers and its extensive dealer network to expedite orders throughout the sales cycle. Ong has had a long and successful career in advanced customer service, most recently as senior customer service representative for Power-One, Inc., and as customer service representative for Sony Electronics. Ong holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in business administration.
