Equinor Hires DeepOcean for Subsea Infrastructure and Cable Repairs

Equinor has awarded ocean services provider DeepOcean a frame agreement for marine services covering subsea intervention and repair contingency for subsea pipelines, structures and high voltage cables for both offshore renewables and oil and gas fields.The agreement is valid for four years, with options to extend it for up to four more years.Geographically, the agreement covers work on the Norwegian continental shelf and internationally for planned Equinor work and for contingency work for the PRSI pool members. Enshore Subsea Welcomes Back World’s Most Powerful Subsea Trencher

Enshore Subsea has taken delivery of the 170 tonnes, 2200kW, T3200 subsea trencher, which is currently undergoing complete refurbishment at the firm's Blyth workshop ahead of planned series of projects.The T3200, built in 2009 for Enshore Subsea’s original parent company DeepOcean, was managed and operated by the Enshore Subsea team for major global projects for 12 years after her build.Now, the company has welcomed the trencher back following a management buyout of Enshore Subsea in April 2021.The company is currently performing a four-month full strip down and rebuild operation for T3200

Gondan Cuts First Steel for New USV for Major Industry Alliance

Spain-based Gondan Shipbuilders has started the construction of an advanced remotely operated unmanned surface vehicle (USV) for a company made up of DeepOcean, Solstad and Østensjø Rederi alliance called USV A/S.The project focuses on improving subsea operations, targeting a reduction of CO2 emissions by more than 90% compared to conventional methods.The new USV will be used for underwater maintenance and inspection missions.Designed by Salt Ship Design, the vessel will feature a hybrid diesel-electric propulsion system, allowing remote operation and autonomy of up to 30 days at sea.

DeepOcean Gets Pipelines Inspection Job in North Sea

Ocean services provider DeepOcean has been awarded a contract by Equinor to deliver inspection and survey work on the operator’s pipelines in the North Sea.DeepOcean’s scope of work includes pipeline inspections, seabed mapping, and ad-hoc pipeline survey and light construction work. DeepOcean Gets ExxonMobil’s Guyana Task

Ocean services provider DeepOcean has been awarded a contract by ExxonMobil Guyana for the provision of subsea construction and inspection, maintenance, and repair (IMR) services offshore Guyana in South America.Under the contract, DeepOcean will plan and execute a wide range of subsea activities, including subsea construction and jumper installations as well as subsea IMR work, at ExxonMobil Guyana’s operations at the Stabroek Block, located approximately 120 miles offshore Guyana.DeepOcean will deploy the Siem Day multi-purpose support vessel (MPSV) to conduct subsea operations.The Siem Day is

Norwegian ocean services provider DeepOcean has completed the burial of a fuel support pipeline in the Gulf of Mexico on behalf of Genesis Energy after introducing its jet trenching system to the United States market.DeepOcean’s trenching system, UT-1, was used for the burial of a portion of the High Island A5 fuel support pipeline.On the designated six-inch pipeline sections, the UT-1 met burial requirements that included a three-mile section stretching across the Sabine Pass Fairway that called for the pipeline to be lowered to 10-foot top of product.The trenching work was conducted from the
