Trelleborg Divests Offshore Oil & Gas Operation in the US

The Swedish-headquartered Trelleborg Group announced it has sold its U.S. offshore oil and gas operations to an undisclosed buyer.Located in Toledo, Ohio, the operation develops and manufactures primarily ceramic macrospheres and buoyancy modules. “We are pleased that we have found a new owner that we know well and who wants to continue developing operations,” said Peter Nilsson, President and CEO of Trelleborg.The move comes after Trelleborg divested the majority of its U.S. offshore oil and gas operations in 2021.The divested operation, which is part of the Trelleborg Industrial

Trelleborg Sells Offshore Oil and Gas Business in England

Sweden-based engineering group Trelleborg said Monday it had signed an agreement and finalized the divestment of its offshore oil and gas operation in Skelmersdale, England."The company is part of the overall offshore operation in the Businesses Under Development reporting segment. The buyers are individuals holding senior positions in the U.K. offshore business being sold. Trelleborg's Cable Protection for Chinese Offshore Wind Farm

Swedish firm Trelleborg will provide cable protection for Jiangsu Qidong offshore wind project in China, under a contract awarded by Torgy LNG.As part of the deal, Trelleborg will provide 190 integrated cable protection systems for the offshore wind farm project, located in Jiangsu, China. Trelleborg’s NjordGuard cable protection system will protect inter-array grid power cables on the project from over-bending, abrasion, and fatigue. Production of the 190 NjordGuard cable protection systems will take place across Trelleborg’s manufacturing facilities in Singapore and England.

Trelleborg to Provide Cable Protection for RWE's Kaskasi Offshore Wind Farm

Trelleborg Names Nilsson as New CFO

Fredrik Nilsson has been hired to take over as the new Chief Financial Officer of Sweden-based engineered polymer solutions company Trelleborg Group, replacing Ulf Berghult who is leaving the role to take a position outside the company.Berghult, Trelleborg's CFO since 2012, will stay on until Trelleborg's 2020 year-end report is completed, leaving Nilsson to assume the position during the first quarter of 2021.Nilsson most recently worked at vegetable oil company AAK for nearly 14 years, holding the position of CFO for the past seven years.
