Turner Designs C-FLUOR Probes Offer Digital Output

C-FLUOR probes are sensitive single-wavelength in situ fluorescence and turbidity instruments that are now available with a Digital Output option. ASCII data can be polled every 0.5 seconds or streamed at variable rates as fast as 16 readings per second. Combining a maximum requirement of 22mA current draw at 12VDC input with a T99 of less than 0.6 seconds, Digital C-FLUOR probes require very low levels of power.  Factory-calibrated, each C-FLUOR ships with a calibration certificate that specifies the calibrated range and minimum limit of detection as fluorophore concentrations.  Titanium

Turner Designs Introduces New Turbidity Sensor

Turbidity measurements at very low levels of detection can be of great importance to those interested in harbor dredging, underground pipeline installation, and riverine applications in general.  With these applications in mind, Turner Designs is excited to introduce a new turbidity sensor with a minimum detection limit of 0.05NTU and a maximum range of 500NTU.  Keeping the instrument optical face clean is particularly important in these applications so Turbidity Plus includes an integrated wiper which is triggered by the user.  Turbidity Plus is designed for integration with multiparamet

Turbidity Sensor Features Integrated Wiper

Turbidity measurements are often made in shallow waters, and keeping the instrument optical face clear is particularly important. With this in mind, San Jose based Turner Designs has introduced a new turbidity sensor that aims to address this issue with a simple solution. Its new Turbidity Plus is an accurate single-channel turbidity sensor including an integrated wiper which is triggered by the user. The turbidity sensor is designed for integration with multiparameter systems and dataloggers from which it receives power and the wiper trigger. Turbidity Plus delivers a voltage output proportional

New Cyanobacteria-Sensitive Optics for Enviro-T2 In-Line Fluorometer

Turner Designs’ Enviro-T2 detects Cyanobacteria in a low-cost in-line monitor Enviro-T2 is an in-line fluorometer suited for drinking water or wastewater facilities that want to detect cyanobacteria and algae in their water flow. It is an accurate, single-channel fluorometer which easily integrates with data collection systems providing a 4 – 20 mA output proportional to the fluorescence from chlorophyll in water. The Enviro-T2 Red Excitation Fluorometer has maximum sensitivity for better detection of cyanobacteria; the Enviro-T2 Blue Excitation Fluorometer is configured with maximum

Handheld Fluorometer for In Situ Chlorophyll Estimates

Turner Designs announced the launch of FluoroSense, a handheld fluorometer for measuring in vivo chlorophyll.   FluoroSense’s simple two-button keypad enables users to quickly power on the instrument and take a reading to estimate chlorophyll in almost any aquatic habitat. No warm-up time is required. Chlorophyll µg/L estimates are displayed in seconds.   The FluoroSense can estimate chlorophyll concentrations spanning the linear range from 0-199µg/L and resolve down to 1µg/L of chlorophyll.   The FluoroSense plastic molded enclosure boasts a lightweight
