Rockland Scientific Inc. (RSI) continues its growth with the hire of Emma Murowinski as Oceanographer. This position was created in response to increased research and development activity in RSI product line and applications as well as an overall demand for marine turbulence instrumentation and training in new geographic markets.

RSI welcomes Emma as she completes a recent Masters of Science Degree in Physical Oceanography from the School of Earth and Ocean Sciences at University of Victoria, with specializations in theoretical parameterization and numerical modeling. Emma brings experience in the deployment of oceanographic research instrumentation in challenging coastal and deep ocean environments ranging from polar to equatorial.

Emma’s responsibilities will be applied throughout the RSI technology and service spectrum. These activities include the development and testing of advanced instrumentation and data processing algorithms as well as working directly with RSI customers worldwide to assist in optimizing the use of their oceanographic research instruments.

Emma is a native of the Pacific Coast, but had the chance to experience Nova Scotia during her undergraduate degree in Physics, Mathematics and Geophysics at Acadia University.
