Staff Cycles to Work for The Archie Foundation

Twenty employees from Aberdeen based company, Nautronix, took part in ‘Cycle to Work Day’ in a bid to raise money for The Archie Foundation.

Nautronix encouraged staff to take part in the ‘National Cycle to Work Day’ and agreed to pledge £5 for every mile staff cycled to work. Employees volunteered to take part in the two-wheeled commute with journeys ranging from 5 miles to 42 miles. A ‘bike breakfast’ welcomed the participants when they arrived at the company Headquarters in Dyce.

In total 287 miles were covered by those who took part raising £1435 for The Archie Foundation. Two cyclists chose a more creative route for their commute from the city centre by writing ‘Archie’ on the streets of Aberdeen before making their way to the office (below image from their GPS tracker).

Mark Patterson, CEO at Nautronix said, “I am delighted that so many of our staff volunteered to take part in the Cycle to Work Day. The Archie Foundation is our chosen charity for this year and this event was just one of our continued efforts to raise money for this great cause.”
