Vroon Orders New SSV

The subsea support vessel (SSV), to be named 'VOS Sugar, is to be built in China at the Fujian Southeast Shipyard.

The contract contains the option for a second vessel, and follows on from the two SSVs built at the Shipyard in 2012 for Vroon Offshore Services (VOS Shine and VOS Sweet).

The new vessel, VOS Sugar, is a modern SSV with retractable thruster and super‑silent tunnel thruster, providing a high standard of comfort for both passengers and crew. She is scheduled for delivery in early 2015 and will be operated by Vroon Offshore Services B.V. in Den Helder, The Netherlands.
