Texas-based subsea oil and gas equipment supplier Trendsetter Engineering has marked the first deployment of its Trident 20,000 psi (20K) intervention system at Beacon Offshore’s Shenandoah project in the Gulf of America.The Trident 20K intervention system was deployed from Transocean’s Deepwater Atlas drillship for a two-well flowback operation at the deepwater Shenandoah project.Trendsetter wet-hopped the Trident 20K system between wells, significantly reducing operational costs and saving the client several days of critical path rig time. CRP Subsea to Supply Well Equipment for Shell’s Whale Development
CRP Subsea, an AIS company, has secured a contract with Shell for the supply of crushable foam wrap (CFW) for the Whale deepwater development in the Gulf of America.The initial order is for one well-set, with additional orders for four more well-sets expected throughout 2025. Each well-set comprises 1,798 CFW quadrants, each one meter in length.The package also includes installation equipment, such as adhesive (one tube per two quadrants), adhesive dispensing guns, tie wraps, and Spanset straps. CFW is an engineered syntactic foam, comprised of a thermoset resin and hollow glass microspheres (HGMS).

Tampnet, a Norway-based provider of offshore connectivity services, has secured a fibre optic project and long-term service contract for fibre connectivity at Woodside’s Trion deepwater field in the Gulf of Mexico.The fibre-based connectivity to shore for Trion will enable remote operations, safety and training capabilities which will be managed from a Woodside onshore facility based locally in Mexico. Enbridge to Build Pipelines for BP’s US Gulf of Mexico Deepwater Oil Project
Canadian pipeline company Enbridge has secured an agreement with BP to build, own, and operate crude oil and natural gas pipelines in the U.S. Gulf of Mexico for the recently sanctioned Kaskida development.The crude oil pipeline, named the Canyon Oil Pipeline System (Canyon Oil), will be a combination of 24-inc and 26-inch pipe with capacity of 200,000 barrels per day.It will originate in the Keathley Canyon area and deliver crude to the existing Green Canyon 19 platform, operated by Shell Pipeline Company for ultimate delivery to the Louisiana market.The natural gas pipeline, named the Canyon Gathering
InterMoor Delivers Mooring Piles for LLOG’s Salamanca FPU
Acteon’s InterMoor has completed the construction of 12 mooring piles for the Salamanca floating production unit (FPU) located in the U.S. Gulf of Mexico and operated by LLOG Exploration.The 12 piles, built with over 2,000 tons of steel, are 80’ long and 16’ OD, weighing over 150 tons each.InterMoor provided the design of the piles from their engineering office in Houston, as well as the steel procurement and fabrication of the piles at its Louisiana facility.LLOG Exploration Offshore will use the Salamanca floater to develop the Leon and Castile subsea developments in the U.S.
Oceaneering Scores $50M Umbilical Contract for Gulf of Mexico Project
U.S.-based subsea services and technology firm Oceaneering International has secured a contract to supply an electro-hydraulic, steel tube dynamic umbilical for a project in the Gulf of Mexico.The name of the client was not disclosed, but Oceaneering said it was a domestic independent energy company, with an anticipated revenue from the contract estimated to be approximately $50 million.Oceaneering has been hired to supply an electro-hydraulic, steel tube dynamic umbilical totaling approximately 27 kilometers (17 miles) in length.Manufacturing is scheduled to start in 2024 at the Panama City, Florida
Subsea7 Secures Work with Talos Energy in Gulf of Mexico
Offshore services firm Subsea7 has secured a ‘sizeable’ contract with U.S. oil and gas company Talos Energy for its Sunspear development in the Gulf of Mexico.The project involves the subsea tie back of one production well at Sunspear to the Prince platform, 12 kilometers to the north.Subsea7 will install the flowline and related subsea equipment at 500 meter water depths.Though not specifically stated by Subsea7, the contract is valued between $50 million and $150 million.Subsea7’s Houston office will oversee project management and installation engineering, with offshore work
