Bishop to Chair UK’s Geological Remote Sensing Group

Charlotte Bishop, Remote Sensing Projects Manager, NPA Satellite Mapping, CGG, has been elected as Chair of the Geological Remote Sensing Group (GRSG). 

 
The GRSG is a special interest group of the Geological Society of London (GeolSoc) and the Remote Sensing and Photogrammetry Society (RSPSoc), and while both parent organizations are based in the U.K. the GRSG is an international organization with members around the globe.
 
Bishop is the youngest Chairs the GRSG has ever had, as well as the first woman in its 27-year history to hold the position. She has served on the Group’s Committee since 2008 and became Secretary in 2013. 
 
With an academic background in Physical Geography and Remote Sensing Charlotte has worked at NPA Satellite Mapping for nearly 10 years. During this time she has collaborated with a wide variety of clients and partners around the world on a diverse range of satellite remote sensing projects spanning land cover, environmental change and oil and mineral exploration. Her current role focuses on technical sales and key account management.
