Ocean Installer Scoops Major Subsea Contract for Equinor’s Troll Gas Field

Ocean Installer has secured the engineering, procurement, construction and installation (EPCI) contract for subsea umbilicals, risers and flowlines (SURF) scope from Equinor and its partners for the second stage of the Troll Phase 3 gas development offshore Norway.This SURF EPCI contract, worth over $95 million (NOK 1 billion), includes a substantial fabrication scope and offshore work over three years, with the first campaign beginning in 2025.The contract award follows the decision from Equinor and the Troll partners to invest just over $1.13 billion (NOK 12 billion) to further develop the gas

Equinor Contracts Ocean Installer for Gas Field Work Offshore Norway

Ocean Installer has secured a new Subsea Line Modification (SLM) project award from Equinor on Åsgard A floating storage and offloading vessel (FPSO), located in the central part of the Norwegian Sea.The scope of work on Åsgard A covers recovery of two risers, installation of one new riser and flexible jumper and engineering, procurement, and installation of GRP Covers to protect the jumper.Offshore operations are scheduled for fall 2024, according to Ocean Installer.In July 2023 Ocean Installer was awarded SLM Projects on Vigdis, Visund, Åsgard C and a morgrip connection on the new

SubseaPartner Inks North Sea Offshore Contract

Norwegian Diving Contractor, SubseaPartner, won a contract for the 2024 season, work awarded by OceanInstaller for end-client Vår Energi as part of the Balder Future Project.The first phase of work encompasses engineering, planning, design, fabrication, and commissioning of a new diver launch and recovery system. The second phase is surface-supplied diving operations to finalize the hook-up of the Jotun FPSO in the North Sea.Currently stationed at Rosenberg in Stavanger, the FPSO is undergoing preparations for re-installation between the Balder FPU and the Ringhorne platform during summer 2024.

Welaptega's Riser Cleaning Tech in Successful Debut Offshore Norway
