Hydroid Opens REMUS 100 UK Training Course

Hydroid, Inc. announces that all REMUS operators are invited to join them at their REMUS 100 Operations & Maintenance Training Course at the Heights Isle of Portland Hotel, Dorset, UK, from October 28 to November 1, 2013.

The five-day conference, which focuses on Kongsberg's REMUS 100 AUV, will include informational presentations on safety features, mission programming, vehicle maintenance, data analysis and vehicle interface program (VIP) setup. All attendees will have access to the full schedule of events, including all course material and instruction by a professional Hydroid Field Technician.

"Our REMUS 100 Training Course is designed to provide participants with the all the skills they need to properly and safely operate the REMUS system," said Christopher von Alt, President and co-founder of Hydroid. "By structuring the program as a five-day intensive, we're able to turn participants from new users into qualified REMUS operators as quickly and efficiently as possible."

The REMUS 100 Operations & Training Course is limited to 10 participants to maximize hands-on experience; early registration is advised.

The conference is open to both new and existing operators of REMUS systems looking for initial or refresher training.
