MacArtney’s offshore cable handling equipment named CEMAC is designed  for power and telecommunication cables and for cable handling operations within the renewable energy industry, in particular the offshore wind sector.

In addition to supplying challenging subsea solutions from concept to completion, MacArtney has also specialized in designing and manufacturing vessel deck systems and equipment for the renewable energy industry and in particular the offshore wind sector.

The equipment in question, the so-called CEMAC offshore handling equipment, belongs to a product line, which incorporates both cable carousels, offshore track tensioners, linear cable engines, and offshore power quadrants. Featuring durability, high performance, and easy integration, they come in standard and custom configurations, are easily combined, and fully synchronisable with each other by means of the application of standard software control systems.

The CEMAC product portfolio
The CEMAC product line comprises four different offshore cable handling solutions which are all electrically driven products characterised by distinctive robustness and energy efficiency: The CEMAC cable carousels safely store and install on- and offshore power and telecom cables. The CEMAC offshore track tensioners safely control the installation and recovery of offshore power cables and come in 2-, 3-, and 4-track versions designed to strengthen security. The CEMAC linear cable engines also safely control the installation and recovery of offshore power cables as well as telecom cables. The CEMAC offshore power quadrants safely control the installation and recovery of offshore power and telecom cables, as well, come in 1-, 2-, and 3-pair versions, and are available for combined operation.

The design of these CEMAC appliances represents compact and modular systems, which are easily mobilisable and cost-effective in terms of transportation. All main components are standardised, which facilitates adaptation and upgrading to the required performance and capacity.

Being a privately owned corporation with group headquarters in Esbjerg on the west coast of Denmark, MacArtney Underwater Technology has supplied products and engineering solutions for almost four decades.
