Offshore Marine Management (OMM) has completed six of 11 cable pull-in operations under its new Tower Support Services package, which was formed to provide clients with a clearly defined set of support services and include hang-off as well as termination and testing operations.

John Lawton, Director from OMM, commented, “Our Tower Support Services package supports our clients’ offshore projects at a critical point. By engaging our extensive knowledge they ensure a seamless interface between subsea and topside operations.”

Since Q4 2013, complex pull-in operations have successfully been completed on the BorWin Alpha, HelWin Alpha, Butendiek, DanTysk, Meerwind and Global Tech 1 platforms. Work is now underway to complete a further five pull-in operations simultaneously, on the SylWin Alpha, BorWin Beta, NordseeOst, HelWin Beta and Amrumbank platforms, which will see OMM complete 11 Tower Support Services in the German Bight in 12 months.

Paul Hampton, Operations Manager for OMM, said, “Our experienced Offshore Teams used all their skills and expertise to safely complete the Tower Support Services without any complications and within the agreed timescales. We worked to overcome the significant issues and risks associated with these delicate operations.”
