Bowtech Shortlisted as “Employer of the Year” Finalist

Bowtech Products Ltd.  has been selected by the judging panel of the Grampian Awards for Business Excellence as finalist in the “Employer of the Year” category 2014.

Bowtech Products Ltd, now in its 25th year, designs, manufactures and supplies vision products to all underwater and harsh environment markets. Bowtech asserts it has always been aware that employees are its greatest asset, as a result the company has an excellent record of retaining staff: 38% of the workforce has been in their employment for over 5 years, 15% of staff have served over 10 years and 9% have served over 15 years. Brian Hector, longest serving employee and now Technical Director said “Bowtech is a great place to work; I’ve been here since I graduated from University and have never looked anywhere else”.

Getting to the finals is an achievement in itself considering the Awards, which are in their 15th year, received a record number of registrations from local businesses, resulting in a 16% increase in applications. The next stage is the final judging and filming day in May followed by the Gala Awards Dinner on Thursday 26 June, where the cream of North East Scotland’s Businesses will come together for much nail biting, networking and celebrating.
