Shearwater Bags Shell Black Sea Seismic Gig

Geophysical services company Shearwater GeoServices said that it has been awarded a Black Sea 3D seismic acquisition contract by the oil giant Royal Dutch Shell plc.The provider of 3D marine seismic data acquisition said in a press note that the survey would cover an area of approximately 600 square kilometers in the western Black Sea.The one-month project will commence in Q4 2019 and will be conducted by the Polar Empress.“We are very pleased to receive this award by Shell which will employ the Polar Empress in continuation of other successful work offshore Turkey this season” said Irene

EMGS Wins BP Survey Off Senegal

Norwegian geophysical services company Electromagnetic Geoservices ASA (EMGS) has been awarded a contract by UK oil and gas major BP for work off the coast of Senegal and Mauritania.EMGS said in a in Oslo Exchange filing that the contract is worth around $6 million. Shearwater Kicks Off Survey for KrisEnergy

Independent upstream oil and gas company KrisEnergy announced the commencement of a 1,200-square-kilometer 3D seismic survey in the offshore Cambodia Block A concession, where the company is developing the Apsara oil field.Shearwater Geoservices' Singapore subsidiary was awarded the turnkey broadband seismic contract, and it has deployed the vessel SW Vespucci for the project.Around 200 square kilometers of the 3D program will be acquired over the Apsara development area to improve imaging of geological faults and sand bodies to aid in the finalization of the design of well trajectories

Shearwater Wins Tyra Shoot

The geoservices company Shearwater GeoServices announced it has been awarded a 4D seismic survey by Total to be conducted this summer offshore Denmark.The survey will be conducted by Shearwater’s SW Amundsen vessel at the Tyra, Tyra SE and Roar Fields.Total has selected Shearwater’s multi-sensor Isometrix acquisition system, according to a press release from Shearwater.

Shearwater Wins Offshore Senegal Shoot

Geoservices company Shearwater GeoServices has confirmed the award of a high-density multi-azimuth 3D seismic acquisition contract over the SNE field offshore Senegal by Woodside.The contract covers the Sangomar, Sangomar Deep and Rufisque Offshore blocks, which include the SNE discovery, said a press release from the provider of 3D marine seismic data acquisition.The work, designed as high density and multi-azimuth survey, will be acquired by the Polar Marquis using 14 streamers, and FlexiSource triple source. EMGS Kicks Off Barents Sea Survey

Electromagnetic Geoservices ASA (EMGS) announced Thursday it has entered into an agreement for a fully prefunded multiclient 3D controlled source electromagnetic (CSEM) survey in the Norwegian Barents Sea.The contract has a value of $1.25 million, EMGS said.The company said it will mobilize the vessel Atlantic Guardian for the survey, which is expected to be executed in the second quarter of 2019.

EMGS Confirms Equinor Data Contract
