Trelleborg Signs Framework Agreement with Statoil
Trelleborg’s offshore operation in Norway, signed a framework agreement with Statoil for the supply of Elastopipe, corrosion protection, Passive Fire Protection (PFP) as well as Thermal Insulation (Vikotherm R2, S1 and P7). The framework agreement is signed for six years. Hans Leo Hals, Managing Director for Trelleborg’s offshore operation in Norway, commented: “We are very proud that Statoil has chosen to sign a framework agreement with us for our core products and solutions.

Delta SubSea Secures New Build Olympic Delta
Delta SubSea, LLC has entered into an agreement with Olympic Shipping AS for the Olympic Delta, a newly built multipurpose subsea support and construction vessel. The Olympic Delta is a GREEN Vessel designed according to DNV class, with high focus on reduced fuel consumption, which also means lesser emission to the environment. The vessel is equipped with two Delta SubSea Schilling HD 150 HP work-class remotely operated vehicles (ROVs) from DSS’s fleet.

Aker Solutions acquired UK specialist engineering company International Design Engineering And Services Ltd (I.D.E.A.S) to boost its asset integrity management services. Glasgow, Scotland-based I.D.E.A.S. has developed software and technology that is designed to improve the quality and accuracy of integrity and life time analysis for oil and gas assets. The analysis can be applied in all phases of the development of an installation, from design through construction, operation and life extension.

Fifth-Generation OCTANS Launched
iXBlue unveiled its fifth-generation OCTANS for survey-grade navigation. The new OCTANS is an all-in-one gyrocompass and motion sensor (attitude and heading reference system, AHRS) and brings in new and enhanced features, including IMO/IMO-HSC certification and inertial navigation system (INS) product upgrade-path. The fifth-generation OCTANS gives marine customers more product variant choices, expanding its surface and subsea product range.

Polarcus Tests Market, Improves Earnings
Polarcus Limited today announced the release of its second quarter 2014 financial statements in which it reported revenue rose 13% sequentially and 5% YoY to $137.6 million while. The company highlighted EBITDA of $49.9 million and EBIT of $23.8 million, a net profit increase to $9.2 million, from 6.3 million in Q2 2013, net cash flow from operations of $45.6 million, a strong Multi-Client prefunding of 92% and 30% reduced financing costs YoY with improved maturity profile.

Designer Ron Allum, Triton Submarines Seek Visionary
James Cameron’s film, “Deepsea Challenge 3D”, made its recent premier in cinemas worldwide. With the movie debut underway, Deepsea Challenger Chief Designer, Ron Allum and Triton Submarines, LLC have started working on the next ocean depth submersible, featuring a transparent pressure hull made of glass. “As the film shows, Deepsea Challenger was very much a proof of concept vehicle,” says Allum. Response Efforts Continue at Well Spill Site
The Bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement (BSEE), U.S. Coast Guard and Walter Oil & Gas Corporation (Walter), through the Unified Command, continue to oversee and coordinate response efforts to secure the South Timbalier 220 natural gas Well A-3. Safety of personnel and protection of the environment remain the top priorities. BSEE approved plans to send a camera and logging tools down the wellbore and is conducting visual observation along with Unified Command.
