MacGregor Offshore Cranes Meet Specialist Operator's Needs
MacGregor, part of Cargotec, secured its third identical offshore crane contract for Volstad Maritime AS series of 125m offshore construction vessels being built by Bergen Group Fosen shipyard in Norway. The order is booked in the first quarter 2013 order intake. Two more active heave-compensated (AHC) MacGregor offshore cranes have been ordered for hull 091, the third in a run of 125m-long offshore construction vessels (OCVs) for Volstad Maritime AS.

OneSubsea, a Cameron and Schlumberger company, has delivered the world's first subsea Multiphase Compressor to Statoil for the Gullfaks South field in the North Sea. Cenpes Leading Petrobras’ R&D Effort
Petrobras expects to raise a net $4.3 billion in global capital markets each year to fund its investment plan over the next five years, according to Chief Financial Officer Almir Barbassa. During a presentation to analysts on March 19th, Barbassa explained that the expected increase in crude oil production during the 2013-2017 period, which covers the investment plan, had allowed Petrobras to reduce its net financing needs by 50% compared with the 2012-2016 investment plan.

US Navy to Roll out Underwater Spy Satellites
The robotic series that remade crusade in skies will shortly extend to a low sea, with underwater view “satellites,” drone-launching pods on a sea building and unmanned ships sport submarines, reports AFP. USCG Establishes Diver Rating and Specialty
The U.S. Coast Guard announced yesterday the launch of the diver enlisted rating and corresponding chief warrant officer specialty. About 50 enlisted personnel and three chief warrant officers will initially transition to the Diver (DV) rating and Diving (DIV) specialty, respectively. Cargotec Wins €22 Million Order
Cargotec's MacGregor received €22 million order to deliver a 900-ton active heave-compensated (AHC) MacGregor subsea crane to the South Korean shipyard, Hyundai Heavy Industries Co Ltd. The crane will be installed on a 150m multi-purpose offshore construction vessel (MOCV) ordered by Sealion Shipping, on behalf of Toisa Ltd. "This is the largest active heave-compensated MacGregor offshore crane that has been ordered," said Frode Grøvan, Director, Sales and Marketing for Advanced Load Handling.
