MacArtney Opens Fifth North American Location
The MacArtney Underwater Technology Group has innaugurated its fifth dedicated business unit in North America. Located in Jupiter, Florida, just north of West Palm Beach, the new MacArtney Southeast Operations will cover a six-state area including Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina, Alabama, Georgia and Florida. Headed by General Manager, Lou Dennis, the new operations will supply cutting edge underwater technology products and solutions to clients and operators within the region.

US Navy to Commission Submarine Illinois
The U.S. Navy is set to commission its newest fast attack submarine during an October 29 ceremony at Naval Submarine Base New London in Groton, Conn. The third Virginia-class block III submarine and 13th of the Virginia-class fast attack class, the future USS Illinois (SSN 786) has the capability to attack targets ashore with highly accurate Tomahawk cruise missiles and conduct covert long-term surveillance of land areas, littoral waters or other sea-based forces.

Liquid Robotics and Boeing have for the first time used a network of persistent unmanned surface vehicles (USV) to detect, report and track a live submarine in a naval demonstration. Four Sensor Hosting Autonomous Remote Craft (SHARC) were deployed off the coast of Northern Scotland during the British Royal Navy’s Unmanned Warrior 2016 demonstration. AIS Marks Hazardous Reefs Following Oil Spills

Greensea Aids Historical Shipwreck Discoveries
The expedition crew aboard Paul G. Allen owned research vessel Petrel has continued it string of high-profile shipwreck discoveries. The crew found the USS Lexington on March 4, resting 3,000 meters below the surface on the floor of the Coral Sea more than 500 miles off the eastern coast of Australia. The discovery was quickly followed by the sighting of the USS Juneau on March 17, 4,200 meters subsea off the coast of the Solomon Islands.

Arctech Helsinki Shipyard Delivered Icebreaking Offshore Vessel
Arctic offshore vessel NB-506 Vitus Bering was delivered at Helsinki Shipyard on Friday 21.12.2012 to the client Sovcomflot, the largest shipping corporation in Russia. The vessel will supply the Arkutun-Dagi oil and gas field in Sakhalin area, in Far East Russia.
